Investing in People proves to be the TRAC to success

 

Following on from the excellent achievement of retaining gold Investors in People accreditation last year against the new, and significantly more challenging, Sixth Generation Framework; TRAC are reflecting on another successful annual review meeting.  Investors in People specialises in transforming business performance through investment in the people working within an organisation.  With their Gold award, TRAC find themselves in the top 14% of over 140,000 organisations and can call themselves excellent employers providing a brilliant place to work.

Company Director, Sarah Trethowan explained more about TRAC’s approach:

 “Our people are critical to our business growth and the Investors in People programme helps us ensure our annual investments are targeted at the right things to encourage employee satisfaction and business growth.  We know that by investing in our people we are having a significant effect on our bottom line. Last year we saw a 10% increase in business growth with a 31% increase in our client numbers. We also retained 81% of our clients from the previous year, which we know is down to the excellent service our team delivered. With 25% of our workforce having been with the company for more than 10 years, we’re confident that our high employee satisfaction levels translates into our successful business growth.”

Carolyn Inger, the assessor for the Investors in People award said:

“The new Sixth Generation Investors in People framework is based on extensive research into what makes high performing workplaces. It is more challenging and stretching for organisations, but also adds more value in terms of feedback on how organisations can ensure their staff are fully engaged and they and the organisation is performing at the highest level possible. Therefore, in order to retain Gold level, TRAC had significantly improved their practices, particularly in the areas of being values led and in recognising and rewarding high performance.
