Fundraising for Cornwall Air Ambulance

Jonathan and Jamie’s Challenge

TRAC director, Jonathan Trethowan and Jamie Smith of Unlocking Potential are cycling the Tour de Cornwall – 200 miles in just 3 days!

The pair hope the challenge will raise over £1200 for Cornwall Air Ambulance, a charity that exists to help relieve sickness and pain, with the provision of an air ambulance for the people of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. In 2015, the aircrew attended to 710 emergency missions which wouldn’t have been possible without charitable donations from initiatives just like this!

To boost the funds they raise, the pair recently held a bake sale raising £241.50. They are also running a potato growing competition and are currently planning a fundraising quiz night for mid-July.

Visiting their fundraising bake sale, Becky from Cornwall Air Ambulance said:

“It is wonderful to see just how much effort Jonathan and Jamie are putting into their fundraising for the Tour de Cornwall. Their cake sale was fantastic and, with the support they are receiving from TRAC, I’m sure they will have no trouble hitting (and exceeding!) their fundraising target.”
