Our people, and the consistently excellent service they provide our clients, have driven TRAC’s business success. In return, we provide the support, encouragement and training to help them best develop their regulatory affairs careers.

Training

Everyone on TRAC’s regulatory affairs team is proactively involved with the industry’s professional body, TOPRA (The Organisation for Professionals in Regulatory Affairs). Our own graduate recruitment and in-house training leads the way in supporting TOPRA’s work promoting careers in regulatory affairs.

As well as attending courses laid on by TOPRA, several of TRAC’s team members are also involved in delivering training. Regulatory Affairs Consultant, Graham Donaldson and Regulatory Affairs Manager, Matthew Walker have contributed to TOPRA’s Introductory and Variations/Lifecycle Management courses.

SPIN Groups

All our regulatory affairs consultants join and participate in the relevant Special Interest Networks organised by TOPRA. There are nine groups in total, promoting networking among industry professionals and providing a forum for exchanging views, ideas, best practice and support.

Lifelong Learning

TRAC introduced lifelong learning following the guidance laid down by TOPRA’s own scheme, in 2010. Team members are set a target of pursuing 80 hours of lifelong learning each year to demonstrate their commitment to professional development.

And that’s not all! Our professional regulatory affairs training is complemented by a wide range of project and interpersonal skills initiatives such as Healthy Workplace Team, Environmental and Social Contribution Team and STEM Ambassadors.

It seems to be working…as a relatively young business, over 30% of our people have stayed with us for over five years and we’ve already earned the highest level of Investors in People accreditation, and a gold award for our healthy workplace programme.

We’re helping shape the industry we work in! The TRAC team is active in the various working parties and committees that help TOPRA make its vision of “enabling and promoting excellence in the healthcare regulatory profession,” a reality.
