TRAC Supports Innovation at Young Enterprise Innovation Awards
21st March 2011
TRAC are delighted to be sponsoring Cornwall Young Enterprise Innovation Awards for the second year running. The event is being held on Wednesday May 11th at the Pool Innovation Centre and showcases top young entrepreneurs from schools and colleges across Cornwall.
Youngsters have been developing and running their own real businesses since September last year with the help and support of their teachers and volunteer Business Advisers from the local business community.
The event supported by the University of Plymouth and other local key sponsors will present awards across eight categories to celebrate their achievements and select a winning team to compete in the South West Regional Finals of the Competition in June.
TRAC is sponsoring the Innovation Award which Company Director Jonathan Trethowan will present at the event in May. “This is a fantastic opportunity for students to develop a greater understanding of how businesses operate; we really enjoyed seeing the talent and ideas demonstrated at last year’s event, so there was no hesitation to be involved again.” said Jonathan.
Emma Wright, Development Manager for Young Enterprise Cornwall said “I’m delighted that TRAC are involved again this year. As a registered charity, securing sponsors is essential to the success of and sustainability of the awards. The sponsors are also seen as role models for the aspiring young entrepreneurs.”
Young Enterprise is the UK’s leading enterprise education charity. Together, we are building a connected world of young people, business volunteers and educators, inspiring each other to succeed through enterprise.
