TRAC Scores A First With Truro College Football Sponsorship

Some of Cornwall’s brightest footballing talents will be competing on a regional and national stage in a brand new kit this season after Cornish Regulatory Affairs specialist TRAC agreed to sponsor the highly successful Truro College football team.

 

Truro College first team, which reached the British Colleges National League Final last season, will be hoping for continued success this season, which will see them up against other colleges across the region in their brand new TRAC-sponsored kit.

 

They will play a minimum of 16 league games across the South West region and will also be entering 3 national cup competitions and a county cup competition.

 

The College has also become one of only 27 in the country to be named as an FA/BCS Focus College – the pinnacle status available to a college in terms of its football development.

 

TRAC Director Jonathan Trethowan said he was delighted that the company has become the official sponsor of the Truro College football first team.

 

“Truro College is recognised as the leading football centre not only in Cornwall but also across the South West and we are absolutely delighted to become sponsors of the football team. There is a great emphasis on training and teamwork here at TRAC and this is clearly the case at Truro College given their success so the sponsorship was a natural fit,” said Jonathan.

 

“We are really looking forward to following the team in the forthcoming season and supporting them at as many games as possible, I hope they can not only repeat but build upon the successes of recent seasons.

 

“What we also like about the college football programme is that they work closely with partner secondary and primary schools, enabling the students to go out into the local community and work with children of all ages to develop their football skills,” added Jonathan.

 

Head of the Truro College Football Development Centre Michael Vanes welcomed the sponsorship from TRAC.  "It's fantastic that TRAC has agreed to sponsor the new kit and we are thrilled that they have supported us in this way.  We are now looking forward to what we hope will be another extremely successful season," said Michael.
