TRAC's Director Shortlisted for TOPRA Award!
8th September 2010
TRAC’s Director, Jonathan Trethowan was delighted this week to hear that he has been shortlisted for an award by our professional body - TOPRA (The Organisation for Professional in Regulatory Affairs) in their inaugural regulatory affairs awards. Shortlisted in the Inspiration Category by a panel of five judges, the winner will be announced at TOPRA’s 7th Annual Symposium in London on 5th October. Jonathan said “It’s brilliant news, the awards are a fantastic initiative for the profession and it’s great to be recognised and involved in this way.”
Nominees were asked to name individuals or teams whom they saw as role models or mentors that had inspired them during their career. Jonathan was nominated by TRAC’s Regulatory Executive, Lisa Pascoe. As part of the nomination, Lisa completed a 250-word summary explaining why she thought Jonathan would be a worthy recipient of the award. Lisa said “Over the past five years Jonathan has developed an excellent in-house training programme that to date, has helped coach and support myself and six other graduates to become experienced and respected regulatory professionals in our own right. In addition, he also participates in a TOPRA working party that is identifying future approaches to professional development; I think his involvement at TRAC and within the industry as a whole shows his passion and commitment.”
TOPRA is the global organisation for Regulatory Affairs professionals and for those who have an interest in Regulatory Affairs in the healthcare sector. It has introduced its Regulatory Affairs Awards to recognise excellent regulatory practice and professionalism from individuals, teams and organisations. There are five different categories - Innovation, Inspiration, Support, Horizon and Achievement. The Awards Ceremony will take place during the Gala Dinner at TOPRA’s 7th Symposium, the largest regulatory affairs event of the year, in London on 5th October.
Here at TRAC’s offices, we’ve all got our fingers crossed and wish Jonathan the very best of luck!
