The 4th EMEA/TOPRA meeting on medicines legislation 2009

TRAC team member Claire Pomeroy attended the above event in December 2009. This joint meeting raised the question “What will the future bring, and what do we need to know today?” The various speakers discussed key events planned for 2010 and beyond.
Claire was invited to write a meeting report on the session relating to the variation regulation and the key new principles within this. Claire’s report appears in the current edition of the TOPRA journal the Regulatory Rapporteur (Vol. 7, No. 3, March 2010). Anti-counterfeiting measures, strengthening pharmacovigilance, providing information to patients, the new variations regulation and paediatric clinical studies were some of the topics discussed.
