Business Growth Leads To New Office Move

A fast-growing Cornish business which works with pharmaceutical companies across the UK and Europe has moved to new offices to help keep pace with demand for its services.

TRAC Services has moved to offices at Tolvaddon Business Park near Camborne following a sustained period of growth which has seen new services launched, new clients secured and new team members join.

Formed in 2001 by Jonathan and Sarah Trethowan, TRAC Services provides high quality and independent consulting services to pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device and healthcare companies, acting as a link between clients and the government regulatory agencies responsible for medicinal products across the World.

Clients range from large multinationals where TRAC provides additional resource for particular projects, through to smaller start up companies without their own regulatory team who require TRAC to advise on regulatory requirements and propose a regulatory strategy for their product, as well as to liaise with regulatory agencies on their behalf.

According to Sarah, establishing the company in Cornwall was something of a gamble initially but one that has paid off as the business has flourished, requiring the move to bigger offices.

“With no major pharmaceutical manufacturers in the county, there was an element of risk about establishing the company in Cornwall but we have proven geographical location is no barrier to delivering high quality services.

“We have also been able to recruit extremely good quality people into the company which has in turn enabled us to win more business and launch new services to the pharmaceutical industry. In addition we are also delighted that, through business growth, we have been able to provide knowledge-based employment opportunities in the county, which have previously been limited.

“The last two years have been extremely positive as we have grown the regulatory side of the business and launched a Readability Testing service. The result is that the staff numbers have grown to nine with additional recruitment likely early in the New Year, necessitating the larger offices,” said Sarah.

Before moving to Tolvaddon Business Park, TRAC Services was based at the Knowledge Spa on the site of the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske.
