TRAC Celebrates Director of the Year Award

TRAC’s Company director Sarah Trethowan was named Director of the Year at last week’s Institute of Directors (IoD) South West Business Awards held in Bristol.

The awards recognise and celebrate the role of leaders and their contribution to the South West region.  Winners were judged by a panel of experts on key elements of business success including financial performance, managing growth, employee engagement, innovation, reputation management and ethical behaviour.

Sarah’s accolade follows TRAC’s recent success which has seen its sales grow by over 30% for the last two consecutive years.  She has also recently completed the IoD certificate in Company Direction and is a non-executive director of Cornwall Development Company as well as on the Employment and Skills Board of the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly LEP. 

Sarah also leads the way on TRAC’s social responsibility both through financial donations and also volunteer time, enabling employees to take time out of their role to volunteer in the local community.

“This award is very special as I was up against some strong contenders. I am proud to now be flying the flag for Cornwall in the national awards,” said Sarah.

Sarah and other regional award winners will go on to compete for the national awards at the Grange St Paul’s hotel, London in October.
